Free talk/demo at the Nursery, last Thursday of every month, from 2pm until 2.45pm
Artists in the Garden Sunday 20th September 2020 10.30 - 15.30
What a day this will be! If you love plants, gardens and art then this is a must. This will be the forth time we've run this event and it's a firm favourite with us! The idea is that artists, writers, musicians and anyone who finds plants and gardens inspiring, will create work in the nursery to share with visitors and other artists. If you think the nursery would inspire you and you'd like to share your creativity with other artists please contact me on 07977 550050 for further information. If you'd like to come along and be inspired please join us on the day.
This is a free event and will take place at:
The Coastal Gardener Nursery, Fakenham Farm, Eddington Road, St Helens, Isle of Wight, PO35 5TN

Coastal Gardening - design and inspiration Wednesday 5th August 2020 10.30- 15.30
Do you have a garden near the sea? If so you’ll know that the wind and salt spray can be challenging to say the least! Spend the day with me at my coastal plant nursery and find out about which plants thrive in coastal conditions. Learn how to create the best possible environment for your plants to flourish. We’ll look at which edible and decorative plants thrive and as well as looking at wind breaks, planting techniques, feeding, irrigation and weed suppression. I’ll share with you my ideas on designing and planting coastal gardens and offer advice about your own garden (please do bring along plans and or photographs of your garden). We will also visit my own coastal garden and take a short walk along the coast to see what's thriving on the cliff edge and beach. (Please let me know if you will need a lift from St Helens to Bembridge)
This course will be run at our Nursery at Fakenham Farm, Eddington Road, St Helens, PO331XS.
All materials and equipment included but please bring your own gloves if you like to wear them and a notebook.
